So, you may not yet know this about me (Chris) but I don’t take anything slow. So of course, one of the first “real” projects I decided to tackle was a combined Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gift – an RV sign for my parents. My parents live in their RV, and apparently a sign with your name and where you are from is effectively a welcome mat.
This project combined all of my favorite things! Fire! Edge-glued boards! Extremely long carves!
Ok, fire is the only one I _actually_ enjoy.
I also got to learn fun lessons like how to do a finishing pass, how to change the router brushes, and how to use crazy marine varnish!
Maria, as always, did an incredible job bringing the elements – flowers, RV, and quill pen to life with her paint.
The stand was done by Iron Chinchilla, and looks AMAZING!
